The Opening Night
Love is my religion
of the 19th Fes Festival of World Sacred Music
June 2013
For its 19th edition, the Fez Sacred Music Festival chose to pay tribute to Andalusia, the crossroads of religions: Amazigh, Arab, Flamenco, Muslim and Jewish Andalusia, to celebrate the thousandth anniversary of the Kingdom of Granada, which was established in 1013 under the independent power of the Berber Zirid family.
Under the direction of choreographer Andrés Marín, the singers Carmen Linares and Tomasa La Macanita were the stars of the opening of the festival, which also welcomed the famous guitarist Paco de Lucía to its main stage.
